Getting to know your favorite band members!

Welcome to the first official Jump Moon blog! Dive into the minds and music that define our journey through alternative rock, where Canadian talent meets beautiful melodies. Get to know each member as they share their musical roots, passion for alt rock, live from Oakville Ontario!

We started our adventure by asking the members to kick things off by sharing a small excerpt of who they are and what got them into alt rock:

Erick (Guitarist)

"The idea of helping someone through music inspires me to keep going. Being a musician is a hard job since it requires so much time and energy, and sadly there's little to no return, but the idea of all that hard work helping someone that's having a bad day to jam out to our shit inspires us to make better music."

Mourad (Drummer)

"Everyone goes through bad times, experiences so sharing them through music can bring people together and connect on an emotional level. For me, as the songwriter for the band, I’m usually inspired by events evolving around my life and how writing can indeed help grief the loss of anything."

Nick (Singer)

"Just trying to be a good person and bringing people together."

Erick (Guitarist)

"I grew up with Green Day, Muse, Blink 182, Arctic Monkeys, and many more, so definitely all of those heavily shaped me to this day."

Mourad (Drummer)

"I grew up with muse, ac/dc, green day, linkin park. My favorite drummer: Dominic Howard, we share the same birthday."

Nick (Singer)

"I’ve always been into rock music, it was fun listening to some iconic bands like The story so far, Billy Talent, Bilmuri, Linkin Park."

Erick (Guitarist)

"My favorite songs are either 'Television Walls' due to the meaning behind the song, or 'Wasting Time' since it has been my greatest musical achievement to date."

Mourad (Drummer)

"My favorite songs are 'Sky is crashing' or 'Wasting Time', it’s my first time playing at this speed so it helped improve my drumming. It’s a step up from our last project, 'paranormal activity.' "

Nick (Singer)

"My favorite song from our band is 'Wasting Time'. It’s just so much fun to play live.I also like 'Together'; it's a lot of fun to play but a bit more chill."
